GYMINI Private Gym

By booking and using GYMINI Private Gym, you acknowledge that you are participating in physical exercise at your own risk.

GYMINI Private Gym accepts no responsibility for any injury, illness, accident, loss or damage to persons or personal belongings arising from the use of our facilities, equipment or premises, except where required by law.

It is your responsibility to ensure that you are medically fit to participate in exercise. If you have any concerns regarding your health, we recommend consulting your GP or healthcare professional before undertaking any physical activity.

Users must:

Follow all gym rules and safety instructions.
Use equipment correctly and only for its intended purpose.
Stop exercising immediately if they experience pain, dizziness or discomfort.
Respect the premises, equipment and other users.
Leave the gym in the condition they found it.

Access to GYMINI is granted via a unique booking code. Access codes are strictly personal and must not be shared. Any misuse of access codes may result in cancellation of bookings or permanent suspension of access without refund.

The gym is monitored by 24-hour CCTV for the safety and security of members and visitors.

GYMINI reserves the right to refuse entry, cancel bookings, amend opening hours, pricing, services or Terms & Conditions at any time.

By completing a booking and entering the premises, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to this disclaimer and the GYMINI Terms & Conditions.

Monthly & Family Membership Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all Monthly and Family Memberships purchased from GYMINI Private Gym, 6 The Square, Stamford Bridge, York, YO41 1AF.

By purchasing a membership, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. Membership

Membership provides access to GYMINI Private Gym in accordance with the membership package purchased.

Memberships are strictly personal and are non-transferable.

Only the named member(s) registered on the account may use the facilities.

GYMINI reserves the right to refuse or terminate membership where these Terms & Conditions are breached.

2. Membership Packages

Membership benefits are limited to the number of weekly sessions included within your chosen package.

Unused sessions cannot be carried forward into future weeks or months and have no cash value.

GYMINI reserves the right to amend membership packages, pricing or benefits by giving at least 30 days’ notice.

3. Membership Fees

Memberships are paid monthly by recurring payment.

Payments are collected automatically on the agreed renewal date.

Failure to make payment may result in:

  • Immediate suspension of access
  • Cancellation of future bookings
  • Removal of your access code

Outstanding balances remain payable.

4. Minimum Age

GYMINI is committed to providing a safe training environment for all users.

  • Adult memberships are available to persons aged 18 years and over.
  • Young persons aged 16–17 years may become members with the written consent of a parent or legal guardian.
  • Children aged 14–15 years may only use the gym when accompanied and continuously supervised by a parent or legal guardian (aged 18 or over) who remains present throughout the entire session.
  • Children under the age of 14 years are not permitted to use the gym facilities.

GYMINI reserves the right to request proof of age or parental consent at any time.

5. Health Declaration

By becoming a member, you confirm that:

  • You are physically fit to undertake exercise.
  • You understand that exercise carries inherent risks.
  • You will seek medical advice before exercising if you have any concerns or underlying medical conditions.

Members exercise entirely at their own risk.

6. Booking Sessions

All sessions must be booked using the official GYMINI booking system.

Bookings are subject to availability.

A booking confirmation will be sent once successfully reserved.

Only the registered member(s) may attend the booked session.

7. Booking Changes

Bookings cancelled with at least 24 hours’ notice may be rebooked (subject to availability).

Bookings cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be treated as used.

Failure to attend without cancelling will also count as a completed session.

8. Arrival & Departure

Members should arrive no more than 5 minutes before their booking.

Members must vacate the gym immediately after their allocated session.

Any member remaining in the gym more than 10 minutes after their booking has ended may automatically be charged for an additional 60-minute session and may have future access suspended.

9. Access Codes

Members will receive a unique access code.

Access codes:

  • Must remain confidential.
  • Must never be shared.
  • Must not be used by anyone else.

Any misuse of access codes may result in immediate termination of membership without refund.

GYMINI reserves the right to change access codes at any time.

10. Use of Equipment

Members agree to:

  • Use equipment safely and correctly.
  • Return all weights after use.
  • Wipe down equipment after use.
  • Report damaged equipment immediately.
  • Wear suitable clothing and clean footwear.

Members must not misuse equipment.

11. Behaviour

GYMINI operates a zero-tolerance policy towards:

  • Aggressive behaviour
  • Threatening language
  • Harassment
  • Bullying
  • Discrimination
  • Criminal activity
  • Illegal drugs
  • Smoking or vaping inside the premises
  • Damage to equipment or property

Membership may be terminated immediately without refund.

12. CCTV

The premises are protected by 24-hour CCTV for the safety and security of members.

Recorded footage may be used where necessary to investigate incidents or comply with legal obligations.

13. Personal Property

Members are responsible for their own personal belongings.

GYMINI accepts no responsibility for loss, theft or damage to personal property.

14. Damage

Members are responsible for any damage caused through negligence or misuse.

Repair or replacement costs may be charged.

15. Liability

Members acknowledge that participation in physical exercise involves inherent risks.

GYMINI shall not be liable for injury, illness, loss or damage except where caused by negligence or where liability cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

16. Suspension or Termination

GYMINI may suspend or terminate membership immediately for:

  • Non-payment
  • Sharing access codes
  • Dangerous behaviour
  • Abuse of staff or other members
  • Criminal activity
  • Breach of these Terms & Conditions

No refund will be provided where membership is terminated due to a breach of these Terms.

17. Cancellation

Memberships operate on a rolling monthly basis.

You may cancel your membership by providing 30 days’ written notice via email.

Membership fees remain payable during the notice period.

No refunds will be issued for partially used membership periods.

18. Changes to Terms

GYMINI reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions where necessary.

Members will be given reasonable notice of any significant changes.

Family Membership Additional Terms

The following conditions apply to all Family Memberships.

19. Registered Family Members

Only family members named on the membership account may use the gym.

Memberships cannot be shared with friends or extended family unless they are registered members.

20. Parent or Guardian Responsibility

The primary account holder accepts full responsibility for:

  • The behaviour of all registered family members.
  • Ensuring these Terms & Conditions are followed.
  • Monthly membership payments.

21. Children Using the Gym

Children aged 14–15 years may only train under the continuous supervision of a parent or legal guardian who is present throughout the session.

Children under 14 years are not permitted to use the gym facilities.

Parents remain responsible for assessing whether equipment is suitable for their child’s age, size and ability.

22. Supervision

Parents or guardians must supervise children at all times.

Children must never be left alone within the gym.

Failure to supervise appropriately may result in cancellation of the Family Membership.

23. Damage

The primary member accepts responsibility for any damage caused by anyone included on the Family Membership.

Repair or replacement costs may be charged.

24. Family Access Codes

Family access codes are issued solely for the registered family members.

Sharing codes with anyone outside the registered membership is prohibited and may result in immediate cancellation.

25. Health & Safety

All family members must:

  • Follow gym rules.
  • Respect equipment.
  • Respect other members.
  • Keep the premises clean and tidy.
  • Follow emergency procedures if required.

26. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

These premises are monitored by 24-hour CCTV.

Images are recorded for:

Crime prevention

Customer safety

Staff safety

Property protection

Investigation of incidents

Recordings may be shared with the Police or other authorised bodies where legally required.

By entering these premises you acknowledge that CCTV recording is in operation.

Emergency Procedures & Fire Safety

In an Emergency

Remain calm.

If safe to do so:

Stop exercising immediately.

Leave all equipment.

Proceed to the nearest exit.

Do not collect belongings if doing so delays evacuation.

Assemble outside the building at the designated assembly point.

Do not re-enter until instructed.

Fire

If you discover a fire:

Raise the alarm immediately.

Leave via the nearest exit.

Call 999 if safe to do so.

Do not use lifts (if applicable).

Report to the assembly point.

Medical Emergency

If someone becomes seriously ill or injured:
